The Stanthorpe RSL Services Club Inc. Grants Program has been established to provide support to the local community in which we operate. We will provide direct grants for community welfare, sporting teams, non for profit organisations, local events, cultural activities and schools. We welcome and invite applications from eligible non for profit organisations that provide vital local services within the local Stanthorpe Community.

Eligibility:

  • Community based Not-for-profit organisations

  • Small community based groups

  • Community support groups

  • Sporting teams

  • Charitable organisations

  • Schools, Parents and Citizens Associations

  • Local community events

  • Cultural groups

  • Any organisation that applies must reside within the local Stanthorpe community (Granite Belt)

INEligibility:

  • Businesses

  • Political or sectarian organisations

  • Trade Unions

  • Professional associations

  • Organisations registered as companies incorporated for profit-making purposes

Conditions:

  • Stanthorpe RSL Services Club may visit the site of any organisation to which it intends to provide a grant, at times and conditions agreed to by both parties.

  • Details of all grants provided by Stanthorpe RSL Services Club may be made public Grant recipients will be required to attend a presentation ceremony at Stanthorpe RSL Services Club.

  • The decision of the Stanthorpe RSL Services Club regarding successful applicants will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • A successful application in any given year does not imply a continuity of grants in any subsequent year.

  • Grant recipients undertake to ensure that photographs or evidence of event are taken and forwarded to the Stanthorpe RSL Services Club.

  • If your application is successful and a grant is awarded for the purpose of sporting apparel The Stanthorpe RSL Logo is to be displayed on those items.

GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate that your application is based on sound research and has a strong likelihood of meeting your objective listed in the proposal.

  • Incomplete applications will not be assessed

  • Each grant application will be considered on its merit against all other applications

  • Successful applicants will be notified with fourteen days of Grant Committee meeting

  • Successful applicants will be published on inhouse and external publications, on social media and on Stanthorpe RSL website

Funding Acquittal Process:

The acquittal process is required to ensure that the monies awarded to grant recipients has been expended for the purpose approved, as per the Application Form.

The applicant will need to supply one (1) of the following as evidence that the funding has
been expended -

  • Attach a copy of the invoice and the receipt of payment; or

  • If payment is made online via internet banking, attach a copy of the invoice and a copy
    of the completed transaction showing receipt number; or

  • Attach an invoice with a nil balance.

Evidence of the use of acknowledgement types must be provided with the grant acquittal to show how the applicant acknowledged Stanthorpe RSL Services Club for its financial assistance. (Photographic evidence of sporting teams and equipment etc. will need to form
part of this evidence. To be attached in jpeg format.)

If the funding is not fully acquitted, the applicant will be ineligible for any future funding from the Stanthorpe RSL Services Club. (This is from 2022 Successful Grant Applications and moving forward.)
